Half Truths Corrupt

But I fear, lest somehow; as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may not be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3

Focus on Christ

How does someone influence you to change your mind about something? If they want to influence you, they will affirm, approve, or confirm you. 

Satan was crafty and deceitful with Eve. 

The temper will use any means possible to gain your attention away from Christ. Sometimes it will be flattery and other times, seduction. Any means possible will be employed to make you think that what you are offered will not draw you away from Christ, but will satisfy your desires without corrupting you.

Our minds are capable of being corrupted. It does not take much to tarnish the truth.

Stay focused on simple truth, such as a relationship with Christ. Develop a deeper relationship with Him. Spend time getting to know Him by immersing your mind in His word. Talk to Him often. Ask Him for wisdom and guidance, and His Spirit will teach you what you need. 

Focus on Self

Self is easily corrupted. Things of this world, such as success, money, security, pride, and ambition can quickly move a person from the simplicity that is in Christ, to living by half truths. Follow Christ, deny self, love God, and spend time with those who live that way, and your mind will be protected.
