Focus on Christ

When you are attacked, what is your first response?

Jesus’ response was perfect. He did not react to unjust threats. His reaction was non-threatening silence. 

If angered revenge is your response to an unjust action, then you are walking in your own way, not the Ways of Christ. Love came from Jesus’ heart when He was treated wrongly. His response was to die for your sins.

You must believe that Christ’s death made it possible to live for Him. 

Christ committed Himself to His Heavenly Father who would judge righteously. He did not have to take action against others. He instead trusted God to do what was needed and necessary. 

Focus on Self

Dying to self is humanly impossible. Only when Christ is exalted in your life are you able to walk in His Spiritual Fruit. Give up your right to selfish ways and yield to Christ who made a way to enable you to righteous living.
